Training Days

The Girls13

Motorsport training days won’t make you an expert racer in one day, but will give you the confidence to compete.

Our focus is currently on drag racing because you can run your own car or bike, even the grocery-getter. You don’t need a purpose-built vehicle to participate.

Newcomers to the quarter mile sport can sometimes find it all a little bewildering, with terms like pre-stage and stage lights, red light starts, reaction times, handicap displays, breakouts, double-breakouts and so on. But as you know, nothing is confusing once you understand it.

No new dates have yet been set for 2010, but we are talking to tracks, and expect to have information available soon.

From previous training days, which have been held so far in WA, Qld and Victoria, a number of participants have become regular competitors and winners! Others have bought purpose-built race cars, or are having them built. We also have repeat participants, because the days are so much fun. We have been told some amazing stories, making us keen to get more training days organised so we can help encourage more girls to have a go!

We have had a number of requests to include guys who’d like to learn from the experts too, and we are taking this into consideration for future days.
