Girls Torque Casting

Girls Torque Casting is a new service we are offering to women involved in any aspect of motorsport or the automotive industry.

Registration is open to any women wanting to advance their motorsport careers, gain publicity for future sponsorship opportunities, work opportunities,travel and more.

Enthusiasts are also welcome to register, as not all enquiries we receive from production companies, media etc are for women who have auto-related skills. For example, we recently had a call out of the blue from a Sydney-based TV production company, for 'extras' for a TV commercial being produced in a regional country area for a US client of theirs.

Not all opportunities we get calls about are for paid work, but some certainly are.

We make no guarantees that you will get a call, but a growing number of opportunities for women are out there. Examples include: calls for motorsport team testing, films, tv shows, interviews, advertising and more.

Once registered with GTC you will be on our priority list for 12 months.

And prior to that...

• We selected 3 members from the Australian Women's Motorsport Network for an exciting overseas TV project/motorsport event for Discovery Channel. The girls helped us build a unique car (on a 30 day deadline), capable of having 3 tons roll over the top of it. The car and the girls then travelled to the UK (all expenses paid), where filming for the Full Metal Challenge took place. They competed against 27 international teams, were the only all female team and only Australians on the show. The girls made us all very proud. They made it to the semi-finals, and told us it was one of the best experiences of their lives.
• We found 2 female speedway competitors to appear on the Kerrie-Anne Kennelly show
• We helped source an Australian female driver for Formula Woman, a female motorsport series in the UK
• We sourced girls for the Hot Laps segment of The Car Show
• And had a lot of contact from and with the general and motorsport media
