About Us
Early in 2001, an organisation was established in Australia to support the growing number of women in motorsport and working in the automotive industry.
The founders of the Australian Women’s Motorsport Network Inc (AWMN) have seen huge growth over the ensuing years in the number of women who may not want to necessarily race or work in these industries – but are now loyal fans and supporters of those who do. They have watched the female motorsport fan base grow, as well as the numbers of female car & bike enthusiasts on the roads.
So Girls Torque was born, to meet not only the needs of women who are involved in all auto related industries, but their fans and supporters too - both female and male.
